Accessibility and Inclusion

At Screech Arts, we pride ourselves on being a performing arts school that is fully accessible and inclusive.

We strongly believe that everyone who joins the Screech Arts community is an artist in their own right, no matter their age, gender, culture or ability.

Our group of experienced and thoughtful facilitators and volunteers have designed our workshops and performance groups so that everyone to participate at their own pace and in their own way.

We understand our students learn in different ways and tailor our teaching style according to the needs of each individual. Our team of superstar volunteers take a lead role in providing one-on-one coaching to students that may need additional support to follow instructions or participate in an activity.

We provide a range of tools and devices to enable our participants to communicate their ideas and participate in a meaningful way.

Our tools range from communication books to support our non-verbal students to have their creative voice heard, and creative communication techniques such as learning how to use body language to show emotion. All our locations are accessible venues.

We believe that when you strip away misconceptions, you truly see what you are capable of and can achieve.

If you’re not sure if Screech is suitable for you or your child, then get in touch. We’ll explain how everyone with an interest in expressing themselves can come and take part in our inclusive and fun group.
